Name's Manu, I started collecting animation cels in 2021, but I had been interested in cels a few years before then. I've always been a geek about animation and production art in general as a kid, and when I later learned as an adult that people buy and collect animation cels as a hobby, I began doing research on how to obtain and preserve cels to start my own collection (and saving up the money to do so). Now that I do animation and art for work, I have an even greater appreciation for traditional animation cels and the work put behind them!

Since I store all of the artwork in a portfolio binder rather than displaying them in frames due to their fragility, I thought it'd be best to create a site where I can showcase all the details in one place without risking damage to the art.

I mainly collect cels from movies or shows that I have a strong childhood connection to, or just whatever I enjoyed watching in recent years. I much prefer collecting cels that come with matching sketches or background art, especially if they include notes and/or drawovers from animation supervisors.
